Divorce Appraisals

divorce appraisals

We are experienced with the sensitivity and professionalism required in a divorce situation. Whether one party will be buying out the other or the house will be sold and the assets divided, appraisals for divorce purposes must be professional, well supported and defensible in court. Our appraisals will meet the requirements of the attorneys, accountants, courts, agencies and individuals involved. We will use generally accepted appraisal forms.

Sometimes the appraisal will be completed after the divorce has been completed; we are familiar with the requirements for retroactive appraisals and can provide an effective date and fair market value that matches the date of divorce.

We will complete the appraisal in a completely unbiased fashion, no matter which party orders the report. Please do not ask for anything else.

Important: Be sure to clarify who our "client" is.  We can only provide the appraisal to the party that ordered it.  We can only discuss it with that client.  Of course, both parties can be the "client", just let us know at the time of order.
